Having grown up in the Washington DC area, Julia has spent the last 18 years in the Wyoming. Julia started her energy sector career at the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, where she was involved in the regulatory transition from coal bed methane wells to horizontal wells. She then worked at a geologic consulting firm for a decade providing policy, regulatory and technical guidance and deliverables for clients with energy production needs.

Notable projects include involvement with the first two-mile horizontal wells in Wyoming, horizontal disposal wells, and enhanced recovery projects, including the first waterflood targeting onshore fractured basement. Current projects include supporting carbon capture and sequestration projects in multiple states from feasibility through drilling and permitting. She is known for her ability to find and connect the dots, while utilizing a back to basics approach.
